Yes to both things to do/not to do, and yes to capitalizing on your “new” factor. Most are common sense, but I’ll make a list.

Do:

  • Approach everyone - sometimes girls will sit at the bar and say it’s really slow when there’s two or three guys who haven’t been approached and they might end up leaving with money still in their pocket when it could be going into your pocket
  • Pay attention to body language - a lot of girls don’t realize it, but they end up looking like they’re in a bad mood or bored. Always be conscious of how you appear to customers
  • Smile - people are naturally drawn to happy people and many girls don’t realize how often they’re frowning or looking uninterested
  • Utilize light flirty touches - an easy way to connect to a customer and make him think you like him
  • Use words like “intimate environment” when referring to VIP - it sounds much more personal and inviting when you use those phrases 
  • Always upsell - once a guy agrees to a dance, you can ask him if he wants the dance on the floor or if he wants it somewhere more private
  • Use the word “only” when referring to prices - makes the amount you’re asking seem less intimidating

Don’t:

  • Get drunk/do drugs - stripping is a job and if you let your vision get blurred, you won’t be as successful
  • Compromise your morals - regardless of how much a customer is offering, don’t do anything that will make you think less of yourself
  • Do extras - this compromises other dancers, in that it makes customers think VIP isn’t worth it unless they’re getting something else out of it
  • Let rejection get you down or take negative things a customer says to heart - there’s going to be lots of customers (both good and bad) that won’t be interested in you. Don’t let that make you feel worse about yourself; instead, move onto the next one who will love you and give you lots of money
  • Stay with one customer for more than 2-4 songs without getting paid (either through dances or paid for your time) - your time is valuable and you are at your club to work. Some guys come in with the intention of spending no money, so once it hits the second or third song that you’ve been sitting with a guy, ask him if he’d like a dance. If he says no, it’s time to move on to find someone who will want one.

As far as capitalizing on your “newness,” some guys love when girls are just starting out. Maybe it makes them feel special because they’re getting to see you first, I’m not sure. But when you start, just mention it’s your first night or first week and you’ll have quite a few guys that love it. Just watch out for the guys who look to take advantage of new strippers by thinking they don’t know the rules and will cross the line.

I personally avoided telling people when I was new because it almost always led to an interrogation on why I chose the job and what I would be doing afterwards. It’s a huge waste of time, so if you feel the conversation going in that direction try not to get sucked into it.

Another thing I noticed when I was new and tried to sell dances, guys would say things like “I don’t know, what does that get me exactly?” And watch me squirm over trying to prove myself to them. They knew exactly what they were doing, they knew I was new and wanted to take advantage. I would follow tumblr’s advice of using words like “more intimate” and they’d say “well what does that mean?” with a big shit eating grin because they knew I actually had no idea what I was doing. If this happens, just smile and tell them they’re going to have to find out for themselves. Don’t tell them specifically what you will or won’t do during a dance until they’ve already paid. I always made that mistake when I was new, I’d explain the rules of every dance, what they can and can’t touch before even making the sale.

Now I just ask if they want a dance, it’s a simple yes or no question. If yes then great, how much time are the we going to spend together? Do you want one of these booths, or the private room? Obviously the private room is more fun and it’ll be just us two. The customer asks “can I touch?” Smile and say “it sounds like you want to have a lot of fun. We definitely need to go to the private room. It’s only ___ dollars.” Be mysterious, be a tease, make him want more of you. But also know the warning signs of if a guy is just trolling you and trying to waste your time.

Sorry too add this rambling mess onto someone else’s post, I hope it makes sense. Just some things I wish I knew when I first started and was constantly fucking up my own sales with customers.

1. Damsel in distress: put on a sweet and innocent act, you can never lose by acting naive. Shed a few tears if it helps. Say please. Most of the time when we say please we either say it rushed or grudgingly. But have you noticed how children say please? They stretch it out, pout. You can never say no to them. Clasp your hands together for a humorous affect to lighten the mood. Kneel down on the floor next to him, make your eyes big, touch his thigh, then ask and say please at the end. Experiment, see what works for you depending on your niche (whether you’re cute/ playful, bossy, mysterious.etc). 

2. Make him think the idea was him: But it’s difficult because you have to be clever and act shy and modest about it. Even if he knows he didn’t come up with the idea, act like he did. The fact that you’re giving in and letting him think he won is the best way to get things.

3. Give him something he loves: People love surprises no matter how much they say they don’t. You don’t need to buy him a LV bag, just a small inexpensive gift, send him food or a picture, text when he’s at work before you meet up that night.

4. Ask really nicely. Similar to saying please^. We hate asking for things, or at least I do. Tell him how important it is to you, promise to make it up to him afterwards.

5. Butter him up. Don’t make it look too obvious so start in the morning so that at night when you ask he can’t get mad.

6. Kiss him! A long kiss and when he’s still recovering ask.

Remember only open mouths get fed. Men can’t read minds and will only know what you expect when you TELL them (or ask)

PSA: these won’t work with all guys. For some guys you could bring them the moon and they still won’t give back. Trust your intuition, if he isn’t generous by nature than nothing will work.

  • When a guy doesn’t want to say clearly what he does for a living, he is either nobody, or a liar, or a criminal. Anyhow, remove him. Only play safe.  
  • Until MM doesn’t buy you something, he is fake. EVERY MM IS FAKE UNTIL HE PROVES THE OPPOSITE 

3. Maintain a good Reputation

  • Feel free to date several men parallel until you chose the one you like. Usually you will have either 5 admirers or zero. That’s how these things roll in life

 Tbh I’ve been so busy working since I’ve left Japan, trying to work on projects that will get me ahead in my field that I’m also a tad rusty right now.

 I can’t tell you about any new sites or any new glitzy scenes for freestyling, but interaction I can do.

 Here are my personal first date tips:

 - Wear black.

- No colourful eyeshadow, matte red lips.

- Wear heels and stockings with a garter belt. This is important because at some point during the date you will re-cross your legs and give him a glimpse of it. That’s all the flirting he needs and you haven’t said anything.

- “Your tie is crooked.” Readjust it. “That’s better.” Smile with your chin on your hand.

- Tell a ‘funny’ story that will get his imagination going. Your friend once pushed you into a freezing cold pool and you were braless wearing white! Tee-hee, right? 

- Ask him to choose your drink. Old men love stupid shit like that.
